Influenster College VoxBox 2012: NYC Show Time Glitter Pencil

It's Christmas Time! It's Christmas Time! Ok, we actually have 5 days, 14 hrs, 15 min to be exact. Here's a simple holiday eye look I created with the NYC New York Color Show Time Glitter Pencil in Showtime Black. I had a neutral smokey eye (that has faded from 8 hrs of graveyard shift work, hence the red eyes) and decided just to line my eye with a small wing. You could also pair this look with a red lip. I'd pair it with NYC's lipstick in Retro Red (recommended by YouTube Beauty Guru: emilynoel83). I might just create this look next week as a holiday look for Christmas or New Year's Eve. STAY TUNED!

You can also find it for $2.49 at chain drugstores and mass merchandisers nationwide.

Influenster College VoxBox: Broadway Impress Nails

Good Morning! Who's ready for Santa Claus? ONLY 5 MORE DAYS!! I hope you ask Santa for a set of Broadway Impress Nails in your stocking because these are AMAZING (no, I'm not getting paid to say that either)! I was chosen by Influenster to test out their College VoxBox edition in early November. Last week, I took the time to test these babies out. I will first say that I was hesitant as I *HATE* press-on nails, never liked them at ALL! I always had problems with them staying on but let me tell you I was WRONG after testing these out.    It was love at first press-on (LOL). They fit perfect to each nail and were very easy to put on. I could bore you with the day-to-day details of what I did in the week I wore them but I'm not. I'll sum up that I did a lot of craft and business projects during the week. By Saturday, Day 7 they looked like a little chipped at the ends but nothing too dramatic. If I had given myself a mani, the paint would have chipped off within 2-3 days of application. I didn't see chipping until day 5.

Reasons to purchase:
1. NO popping off
2. Minimal chipping
3. a HUGE range of colors
4. cheaper than a mani!

P.S.
These will last longer than a week. :)

Check them out here:

Purchase them at your local store (s):
$5.99 for colors, $7.99 for patterns at CVS, CVS, Rite Aid, Duane Reade, KMart, Walgreens, Walmart, and more

Influenster: College VoxBox 2012

Right before Thanksgiving, I received my first ever Influenster VoxBox. I received the College VoxBox 2012 that included Broadway Nails imPress nails in Space Cadet, Energy Sheets in Mint, Necco Wafer candy in Tropical, NYC New York Color Show Time Glitter Pencil in Showtime Black, and Pentel Ener-Gel X pen. I was going to make a post the day I received the products but I wanted to really test out the products first. So, we're closing into a month since I've had the items and here's what I think.

College VoxBox 2012:

Broadway Nails imPress nails in Space Cadet: I absolutely LOVE these nails! They lasted a full week and I'm sure they could have lasted longer had I not caught snags while fixing jewelry. Towards the end of the week they did start to chip at the ends but I work working on a lot of projects. I will be posting a separate blog post for the nails. STAY TUNED!

Energy Sheets in Mint: I tried these at work mid-shift and the smell alone could wake someone up. The mint smell was overpowering, although it worked as a  2-n-1: energy strip and breath freshener.

Necco Wafer in Tropical: I used to eat these as a kid growing up, so being able to try new flavors was pretty amazing. The flavors were coconut, passion fruit, strawberry, lime, and mango. I wasn't very fond of the passion fruit flavor but the others were pretty good. I even shared with my mom. :)

NYC New York Color Show Time Glitter Pencil in Showtime Black: The pencil was very smooth and I like the glittery effect. This would be great for the holidays, such as, New Year's! Let's get the party started!

Pentel Ener-Gel X pen: I used this the first two day I had the product and it has mysteriously disappeared since. I do have to say that I loved the smooth writing of the pen. I am very picky when it comes to the use of writing utensils.

The above products were received complimentary for testing purposes only from Influenster. I was not paid to test the products and all opinions are my own.

Ipsy's December Glam Bag

Yesterday, I received the December Glam Bag from Ipsy. If you don't know what Ipsy is, it's a $10 beauty bag subscription filled with deluxe samples and full-size products. I signed up back in January, got my first Glam Bag in February. I fell in love instantly with the products, it was well worth the $10. The only other subscription service I've signed up for was Birchbox but it doesn't even compare to Ipsy.
So, inside the bag I got a $20 coupon code to use at JustFab, a gift tag for a present (also stating to give a subscription to Ispy as a perfect holiday present), Mai Couture Highlighter Paper, Be a Bombshell Hot Mess Lip Gloss, Mirabella Prime for Face & Eyes, NYX Loose Pearl Shadow in Charcoal Pearl, and Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero.
I can't wait to create the perfect holiday look with the following products. Be sure to follow me on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, & Pinterest (links on the right sidebar) to see what looks I create.

Happy Holidays!

Sephora Mini Haul: Too Faced Sweet Indulgences Palette & Lorac Sweet Temptations Lip Gloss Collection

Last Thursday, I was so excited to receive my Sephora order. I had received an e-mail from Sephora for a $15 gift card code that could be used online or in-store of a $50 purchase or more. At first, I was upset because it would expire before I got my next paycheck but then it dawned on me. I'm a mark. representative and we have a rewards program where we are given 5 rewards points for every $100 sale. I knew that I had some points saved up and because they are discontinuing the rewards program I figured I better use them. I went to the gift card section, found a $50 Sephora Gift Card, then had it sent to my e-mail. I totally SCORED on a great deal! So, I purchased the Too Faced Sweet Indulgences Palette and Lorac Sweet Temptations Lip Gloss Collection (pictured below).

Lorac Sweet Temptations Lip Gloss Collection
$25, Sephora.com

(Top ) Candy Apple, Butterscotch, Creme Brulee, Cotton Candy,
(Bottom) Frosted Gumdrop, Sugar Plum

While I started to swatch my hands, I could smell the lip gloss flavor as I took each wand out of the tube. It was absolutely, YUMMY! The brush is a like a regular lip gloss brush (not a doe foot applicator). The only downfall to the lip glosses was they had a sticky feeling to them. I can look past that small flaw because they are beautiful colors with amazing scents. I was going to post the link to the Sephora website but the item is no longer available to I'd go to your local Sephora (maybe Ulta) store to see if they have any in-stock.

Get the Look Cards

Shadow Insurance & Exclusive Brush

This collection has excellent pigmentation and would be great for someone even starting out using makeup. This collection has all the features to get a complete look, too. I plan on doing the "Get the Look" cards and featuring a post of the looks.
