DIY: Headband Holder

What You Need:
Foam Sheet, Ribbon, Fabric, Ruler, Scissors, Hot Glue Gun

Step-By-Step Instructions:
Top Left to Bottom Right:
- Lay the foam onto the fabric and measure 2" in on each side. Mark the 2" in. on the right side as your cutting point.
- Roll the foam into a tube shape.
- Take the rolled up foam and roll it against the fabric to measure around, mark the fabric with a ruler to cut.
- Cut the fabric and put to the side.
- Hot glue the end of the foam to secure the tube.
- Next, you'll start to hot glue the fabric onto the foam (use a ruler to apply pressure as glue will be hot).
- Next, hot glue then ends into sections going in a circle (think of wrapping a present).
- Take your choice of ribbon and start from the middle of one of the ends and wrap around until it meets again.
- Secure the ribbon all around with hot glue (once again use a ruler to pat down as glue is hot)
- Take two fake flowers, cut, and glue onto the ends (I ran out of ribbon and found the flowers laying around in a box. Plus, the pink gives a pop of color).
- I took the remainder of ribbon (about 24" in) and glued onto each end.

What inspired me to create these headband holders?

I'm a Paparazzi Accessories Independent Consultant. I'm on a limited budget right now and needed a cheap way to display the headbands I carry in my inventory. I "Googled" some ideas and got to working on some displays as I already had the items I needed. These are very light weight to where I can take them on-the-go. I can also use a Command Hook at home parties to hang on the wall for people to shop.

This is the first look of a 4-week Makeup Monday tutorial series called, The "Haute" Series. After inspiration from a mark. e-mail, we start off with the "Ombré" lips. Julep Maven It Girl Box

So, I was recently reading a post from The Budget Babe about the Julep Maven Box. The color, Dianna (also her namesake), instantly drew me in as I've been looking for the perfect shade like that for months. So, I thought to myself to try subscribing to Julep once again. A little side note, I had subscribed to Julep months ago but had cancelled because I wasn't satisfied with the box at the time. I started the quiz and the box selected was the "It Girl" Starter Box, although you get like 3 other choices if your not satisfied with the box chosen based on your answers. I did receive this box "FREE" by using code "DIANNA" at checkout, the code is only valid until June 30th. I did, however, purchase the hand set with two additional polishes. On Friday, my box had arrived and loved the colors of the polish. Want join me at Julep? Get your first box "FREE"? Sign up here. (This is my personal rewards code and you will also receive one to share, too.) Use code DIANNA (good through June 30) or FREEBOX at checkout. Please note that if you sign up for the subscription, you will be billed monthly for $19.99 (unless you choose to skip or cancel).

Introducing Beauty Box by Target

It's been over a month since I had signed up for Target's Beauty Box. I had actually forgotten about the box until I was going through my e-mails, noticed a shipping confirmation, then did a Google search about the boxes. From the search results, some were pretty upset that they hadn't received any notification about the upcoming box and there were other's who posted they had just received their box in the mail. I was super excited for the anticipation of the box that a few days later it arrived in my mailbox (I got the box a week ago).

I rushed inside to open the box immediately to see what product samples were inside. I opened the box and was very surprised what was inside, then thought, "Hey, I spent $5 for this box! It's so worth the cost!".

What's inside?
- Gillette Venus & Olay Sugarberry Scent Razor ($8.99 value*)
- Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips in ($7.59-$9.09 value*)
- Fekkai Glossing Cream (trial size) ($18.99 value - full size*)
- L'Oreal BB Cream sample in Light ($7.99 value - full size*)
- LaRoche-Posay Effaclar Duo sample ($36.99 value - full size*)
- a coupon for $5 off any beauty purchase $15 or more
* Value is based on online prices from Target's website , in-store Target prices may vary by location.

My overall reaction: 5-stars

I'm hoping Target will continue the Beauty Box after getting reviews from the introductory box because I will definitely be subscribing to them. It's always nice to save money with subscription boxes and to test out new products, too. Of course, they can be a hit-or-miss deal, too.

It's time for CHANGE...

I have some MAJOR changes coming to my blog. Over the next few weeks, you will be seeing some changes, such as, layout modifications and new background/banner. As we make modifications to the blog, I will still be posting new topics. We are also looking into making a transition from Blogger to WordPress (not sure at this time).  But... I am also bringing some major changes to Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, and all my other social media accounts, too. I will be one busy bee over the next couple of weeks but I know it will be worth the change. I hope those who follow my blog will continue to support me through this change. If you have any requests, comment below. I'd be happy to consider all topics. Have a great weekend! Happy Father's Day, too!
